About Human Work Frontier
Human Work Frontier is an independent publication about the technology of modern work. We review and compare HR software: HRIS, payroll, recruiting, performance, engagement, and learning tools, for the founders, HR leaders, and operators who have to actually choose and live with these systems.
How we work
- Evidence over hype. Every recommendation is grounded in hands-on use, published pricing, compliance coverage, and documented user experience, rather than vendor marketing.
- Fit, not favorites. We rank tools by which company they’re right for. The “best” payroll tool for a 10-person US startup is not the best for a 200-person global team, and we say so.
- Independence. Some links on this site are partner links that may earn us a commission. That never influences our assessments or rankings. See our disclosure.
We write for the reader who has to make the decision and then live with it.
